چکیده

Abstract The main purpose of this work is to examine the techno-economics and environmental assessment Solid Recovered Fuel Lignite methanol pathway. Methanol produced by gasifying solid fuels carbon monoxide hydrogen then reacting produce under pressure during synthesis process. data obtained from partners used adapt study for liquid fuel application. in-house personal computer-based process simulation package, ECLIPSE, perform modelling techno-economic production. @Risk 8.2 © software estimate cost contingency project. SimaPro package was carry out Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). gasifier plant contributes significantly capital costs. results show that increased (SRF) in feedstock mix has favourable economics due negative SRF charges resulting a lower break-even selling price (BESP) than mixes with higher ratios Lignite. Plant availability, investment time value money are factors have greatest impact on BESP. Increasing decreases Global Warming production compared proportions However, resultant much greater natural gas reformer. Furthermore, employment off-gas recovery capture can further reduce both overall Single Score process, making it favourably comparable water shift configurations. Graphical abstract

Technical, Economic and Environmental Assessment of Electricity Generation from Solid Municipal Waste: Case of Mashhad

The purpose of this study is to assess the possibility of generating energy from waste and reducing the consequences of unconventional waste disposal in urban areas of Mashhad. The findings indicate that among five variants under study, variant 5 which allocated the highest energy efficiency, the lowest costs, and the least amount of greenhouse gases to itself was applicable for the city of Mas...

Stochastic techno-economic analysis of alcohol-to-jet fuel production

BACKGROUND Alcohol-to-jet (ATJ) is one of the technical feasible biofuel technologies. It produces jet fuel from sugary, starchy, and lignocellulosic biomass, such as sugarcane, corn grain, and switchgrass, via fermentation of sugars to ethanol or other alcohols. This study assesses the ATJ biofuel production pathway for these three biomass feedstocks, and advances existing techno-economic anal...

Elemental balance of SRF production process: solid recovered fuel produced from municipal solid waste.

In the production of solid recovered fuel (SRF), certain waste components have excessive influence on the quality of product. The proportion of rubber, plastic (hard) and certain textiles was found to be critical as to the elemental quality of SRF. The mass flow of rubber, plastic (hard) and textiles (to certain extent, especially synthetic textile) components from input waste stream into the o...

Hydrolysis and composition of recovered fibres fractionated from solid recovered fuel.

Fibres fractionated from solid recovered fuel (SRF), a standardised market combustion fuel produced from sorted waste, were considered as a source of lignocellulosic fermentable sugars. The fibre yield from four samples of SRF was 25-45%, and the separated material consisted of 52-54% carbohydrates, mainly glucan, with a high content of ash (12-17%). The enzymatic digestibility of recovered fib...
